Expecting Labor and Delivery
Dream of the cherished moment when the newborn will be in your arms may be pleasant but women feel their pregnancy is a never-ending time until their due date. If you are pregnant stop for a moment, instead of thinking about how much time is left before you have your baby consider the labor and delivery.
Do you know what labor is like? Have you planned where you will give birth? Would you prefer a pain controlling method? Do you need some medical advice prior to the due date? Having a birthing plan in advance will save last minute worries and uncertainty.
This is not a big deal when the second baby is coming up, except if your first labor was complicated or required a Cesarean. For the new mother-to-be, this may become a source of countless anxieties as the delivery date approaches, particularly with so many horror-like stories out there related to pain, risks and duration of labor.
If you are getting ready for the due date, it is necessary to understand that nobody except your obstetrician can tell you specifically about delivery since it is different for every woman such as the pain level is experienced by each one in different ways. Besides, depending on the circumstances a Caesarean may be or may not be necessary but still recommended for subsequent deliveries.
You should also decide on the place to give birth from the several different types of facilities that available in your area, outside your city or abroad, but keep in mind if the costs will be covered by your insurance.
